[NMCCSC] Great conditions on the crest

Hi all,

James and I did a ski session at the crest today.  There were lot of folks about in the snow today and Ellis parking was nearly full.  I tried out my skate skis for the very first time and watched as real skaters flew past me.  I felt like a 13-year-old who just put on 4-inch heels!  Can’t seem to get the technique yet.  While I was struggling with the skates, James skied Rocky Point.  He said there are definitely some rocks to contend with and he had to be slow and careful.  We headed up switchbacks and had a great time on that.  When I put on my BC classics I felt like I had met up with a comfortable old friend.  Skate is SO much different and for me, MUCH harder.  Hoping to see some of you enjoying the snow maybe tomorrow.  Should be good.
