Tom and I skied on FR 376 today. In Sam Beard’s book he calls it Lake Fork Canyon Road. Although there is enough snow (anywhere from 10” to 4” under heavy trees) this road Is still open to vehicles. They do not usually close it until the first week of January. So there was a lot of traffic. We saw lots of tree hunters in 4 wheel drive vehicles and a snow mobile and a couple of side by side ATV’s. We left the road and had OK conditions but the vehicles are also ascending FR 604.
At our house we had at least 6” in the last storm and so far this afternoon and evening there is another 5” and it is still snowing. Tomorrow should be quite good most places in the Jemez.
We will report what we find tomorrow. Happy skiing everyone. Louise Broadbent
