Since we received probably no more than an inch of new snow last night, the conditions today on Survey are about the same as Dana reported yesterday. I had to side step down all of the ledges to avoid trashing my skis plus there is a tree to contend with about half way between the road and 10K. I would stick to skiing Switchback.

As David D’Antonio reported, getting up the ledgy outcrops was tricky and I actually took off my skis for a few steps. As more people pass over the trails, more snow gets kicked off the rocks. I don’t think I would go that way again until we have more snow.
