Today I thought I could get by with crampons on 10k north. Ah, no. After
about a half mile the trees were down and unbeknownst to me the trail took
a hard left. I butt walked a bit before giving up. Snow was to my thighs
and more. Quite an adventure. Those with snowshoes seemed to have no
problem, especially if they stayed on the trail!
