Hi skiers,

James and I skied Switchbacks yesterday and it was pretty close to the best conditions thus far.  There is a little over 2 feet of snow.  It would have been great had we got that all winter long, but I’m not complaining.  Any amount of moisture thrown our way I will take.  Anything to dampen that dang Juniper pollen too.  Near the top of the trail there are snow drifts making for an undulating sometimes tricky ride.  There were many others out there enjoying the trail today too.  Looks like folks have skied Kiwanis Meadow perhaps a couple of days ago, but the relentless winds have removed all traces of tracks.  If you wish to ski the meadow you may want to do it before it turns into wind slab.  Ski Sante Fe has extended their season to April 4 if you wish for some lift/downhill time.
