Fellow Snowgoers,

This may be of some interest to those of you who ski the Jemez in the
wintertime.

Best regards,
Mike Meier

Dear Friends,

My apologies for cluttering up your email boxes. Please discard this if you
are uninterested in the local flora.
Frances and I went for a very short walk in the Jemez to look for wild
irises and found oceans of them. In our 43 years here, we've never seen
anything like this abundance. Here are a couple of images (including
daughter and grandson)

The location is just west of the intersection of NM4 and FR289 (Dome Road).
At the west end of the broad parking area on the south side of NM4 is a
lightly used trail that leads west to this location. It's pretty easy
walking and the marshy areas are easily avoided. The photos are big, so
I'll send a map in a separate email.

Best regards,
Mike Meier
