I took the 2nd tram up this morning and found 3 to 4 feet of snow in the trees and about 28 to 30 inches on the road. I tried breaking trail on gravel pit but gave up after encountering 2 ft drifts on the first hill. I then headed down to the service road and took turns breaking trail with a couple of snowshoers.  I then took turns with another skier breaking trail over to Ellis. I then skied back and forth between Ellis and the Tram a couple of times and called it a day. After having tracked the road once I found the conditions for skiing to be excellent.
