This is a Special Screening of New Mexicans Michael and Ruby Jacobs’ award winning feature film, Sheeba, a post 911 family movie about a firefighter family grappling with the tragedy of losing a loved one when the towers fell.  The Michael Jacobs directed film stars Ed Asner, Judge Reinhold and Ruby Jacobs.  Accompanying the screening will be an exclusive exhibit of Michael’s photographs of the Hollywood glitterati spanning from the 1970s to the new millennium. 
 
Michael and Ruby came to New Mexico in 2004 from Los Angeles to assist in the building of our State’s film industry in its infancy. Their efforts paid off in 2006 when they singularly confronted a Round House bill that would have damaged New Mexico’s opportunity to remain at the forefront in film incentives. They succeeded in having the misguided bill quashed, and instead of one film company receiving the 25% benefits, all film companies would receive this benefit. Today we see the fruits of their efforts.
