On Tuesday, October 22, the paint crew drove to Las Huertas Picnic Area to check for graffiti. To our amazement we didn't find any graffiti, but made notes on other small projects we can do next season. On the way back up to Balsam Glade, we painted 7 large concrete barriers with slate gray paint to eradicate graffiti. One of our painters picked up a bag of trash while the other two painted. We also stopped half-way between Balsam Glade & the picnic area because of a large dead tree that had apparently recently fallen onto the road. Our skillful driver, Jane, carefully navigated around it. We snapped off protruding limbs, but couldn't move the trunk without a saw or fulcrum to move it off the road. Subsequently, it was reported to Manny.
Painters were Sam Beard, Jane Harrison & Anne Hickman
A few photos of the work are presented in the attached Word document.
