[Volunteers_fosm] Paint Crew Report of Work on Three Tasks at Crest, Tues., Aug. 18

Hello Everyone,

On Tuesday, August 18, FOSM volunteers Anne Hickman, Rikki Barrett, and Sam Beard worked on three tasks in the Crest Area with Manny Chavez, USFS Employee.

The following tasks were completed:

  1.
 Painting Restroom Exteriors -- The painting of the two restrooms at the large parking lot with Forest Service brown paint was completed using ladders and a roller on a long pole.
  2.
 Application of Yellow Paint to Steps -- Step edges in the paved walk from the Overlook to the parking lot near the Electronics Site were painted yellow.
  3.
 Removal of Graffiti on Overlook Stone Wall -- Black graffiti on a stone wall at the Overlook was removed.

We appreciated Manny's assistance in painting high parts of the restrooms and in removal of the graffiti.

Photographs of the work are presented in  the attached Word document.
