[Volunteers_fosm] FOSM project to buck logs in Cienega PA, Wed., Feb. 21

Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, FOSM volunteers will begin bucking logs in Cienega PA where 11 trees were felled during the chain saw recertification of FOSM and USFS sawyers recently. Patches of ice and snow remain on the road and in the forest. We will begin bucking the logs near the upper parking lot and work out way down the road at the group area, along Acequia Trail, and at the picnic area across the highway from the lowest restroom.

Meet at 9 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Sandia Ranger Station in Tijeras.

Wear warm long pants, long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring snacks, drinks, lunch, warm work gloves, hard hat, jacket, and eye and ear protection. We will be using chain saws.
