Might there be conversation for how to teach others about this - those who typically would not bother to attend or learn about this?  It seems like sometimes we are preaching to the choir and there are many residents in the neighborhood who either do not know (and unfortunately, who don’t care) about our unique historic neighborhood and how to contribute as a community to preserving its historic integrity.   Our block is currently dealing with a neighbor who had gone as far as removing fencing and creating an alley way into backyard (absolutely and sadly out of historic character —and compromising public/neighborhood safety).   I am aware that various neighbors have reported this to the City, including a local church,  only to be told that there is no code violation in creating new alley ways.  For reals?!

 I feel there needs to be more community outreach in terms of educating those coming into the neighborhood.  How can we achieve this...?   I don’t know... - cc
