Special Procedures for City Council Meeting on Monday, October 19, 2020
In response to the Governor’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency and ban on large public gatherings, the City Council meeting on Monday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. will be held via Zoom video conference. Early Voting Happening Now Through October 31!
The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office has announced early voting through Saturday, October 31 at 18 locations throughout Albuquerque. These voting convenience center will be open Mondays through Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Voters can cast a ballot in person or hand-deliver their completed absentee  ballots to these locations. There is also same-day voter registration at seven (7) of these locations. Early voting is conducted in accordance with the state public health order designed to minimize the risk of COVID-19. Masks will be required for all voters and all polling employees, and social distancing protocols will be required. Completed absentee ballots can also be delivered to a secure drop box outside 1 Civic Plaza NW at 5th and Marquette Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The deadline for voters to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, October 20. The final day to mail a completed absentee ballot is Tuesday, October 27. After that hand delivery is recommended. Senior Citizens Can Schedule Rides for Early Voting and for Election Day
If you know a senior citizen who needs a ride to either vote early or to vote on Election Day, have them contact the Department of Senior Affairs! Senior Affairs is offering free rides to for senior citizens aged 50 and older for voting purposes. Lavender Libros Continues With Star Player for the Duke City Gladiators

Don't dump illegally! It's bad for our groundwater, our environment and our neighborhoods, so please, dispose of your trash safely and appropriately at one of the four area convenience centers across Bernalillo County.

Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Event This Saturday
The Department of Municipal Development, Solid Waste Management Department, Bernalillo County, and Advanced Chemical Transport (ACT) are sponsoring a free household hazardous waste collection event this Saturday, October 24 at Balloon Fiesta Park, East Parking Lot, 5000 Balloon Fiesta Parkway NE, between 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring their household hazardous waste on this drop-off day. NOTE: All participants must fill out the participant form and bring the attached completed form with you to the event. This is a necessary requirement to participate. This event will promote COVID-19 safe practices. Please make sure to wear a mask and stay in your vehicle at all times.
