*Junior and Beginner Kayak Clinic*

*August 10, 2013 *


*This exciting and educational clinic is orientated towards new boaters. 
Each session will cover an orientation to paddling equipment, overview 
of river safety, fundamental strokes workshop, and time paddling on the 
river. Most students will practice skills at Taos Junction Bridge in the 
morning and then run a section of the river below it. A special kids 
session (<11) will be offered for free and requires an adult chaperon.*


*When & Where:*Meet at 9:30AM, August 10 at Taos Junction Bridge.

*Costs:*

    $25/day for AWC members.

  *

    Nonmembers can join AWC for an additional $15.

  *

    $5 ACA event insurance coverage (covers both days), if you are not
    an ACA member or *don't have your ACA membership number.*

*Requirements:*

  *

    You must be an AWC member or make special arrangements with AWC.

  *

    A release form (available on the AWC Website) signed by parent or
    guardian*.*

  *

    Pre-registration (Contact Dallas Hill at jeepster101 at comcast.net for
    more information).

  *

    Bring your own boat, paddle, appropriately fitted PFD, helmet
    (bicycle helmets are not acceptable), and whistle (per NM state law).

*General Information*

Free camping is available at the Taos Junction group campsite Friday and 
Saturday nights. Please bring your own food and camping equipment.
