[Neighbors] Nob Hill Neighborhood Association Supports Albuquerque Clean and Green Retail Ordinance

Dear Councilor Davis,

 

It is a pleasure to advise you that the Nob Hill Neighborhood Association
board of directors recently voted unanimously in support of  Albuquerque's
Clean & Green Retail Ordinance (O-19-48) sponsored by you and Councilors
Benton, Gibson and Borrego. 

 

We believe Albuquerque needs to join over 200 cities and 32 countries that
have banned or limited single-use plastic bags as well as over 100 cities
that have banned polystyrene containers. This ordinance will enhance the
health of residents and the beauty of the city.  I would like to recognize
Nob Hill board member Eliza Peralta for framing this issue for our
neighborhood.

 

Please pass along our support to the Council and advance this important
proposal to fruition so that current and future generations can enjoy the
benefits of living in a healthy and clean city.
