*Pet Poison Prevention Tips*

Though last week was National Poison Prevention Week, it’s never too late
to remind people to keep an eye out for possible poisons and toxins around
the house that could harm your pets. Here are a few tips on keeping your
furry friends safe:

· Keep any and all medications away from curious pets.

· Batteries, many types of plants, and cleaning products all need to
be safely stored away from your critters.

· Antifreeze products containing ethylene glycol has a sweet taste
that pets might like but that can also be very harmful, so keep them away.

· Many human foods are poisonous for pets, so pet-proof your garbage
can and keep an eye on food that falls to the floor.

· Fertilizers, bug spray, insecticides and some sprayed herbicides
can be toxic to pets so keep them sealed and out of reach and watch out if
your pet likes to eat grass that you may have sprayed with weed killer.

You can get help and learn more at the Pet Poison Helpline website at:
